This STT report is based on the examination of captured Panzer III tanks.  Included is a special STT supplement on the Development of the German Tanks PzKw III and IV.  Details of the differences between the tanks, their main structures, armour thickness and general data are of interest to every historian, researcher or tank modeller. 

The chassis number ranges for each of the different Panzer III models are given together with the major differences between Models.  Individual component markings and manufacturer names are given.  Observation and Vision capabilities are also noted.
